Top three preferred wing players for Warriors trade! Willing to offer Kuminga plus two first-round picks for Murphy; alternative targets also revealed

On January 13th Beijing time, as reported by insider Siegel, despite conflicting rumors about the Nets’ willingness to part with Michael Porter Jr. before the trade deadline, and news that the Pelicans have stopped trade talks concerning Trey Murphy and Herbert Jones, these three athletes continue to lead the Warriors’ priority list for trades.

Siegel mentioned that to acquire Murphy, the Warriors might use Kuminga as the primary salary-matching asset and are prepared to include two first-round picks. However, he did not disclose any details about potential offers for Jones.

Regarding Michael Porter Jr., Siegel noted early indications suggest the Warriors are reluctant to give up more than one first-round pick, as the deal could require sending both Kuminga and Moody. The Warriors’ management is somewhat disappointed with the development of 23-year-old Moody, making the team “very willing” to trade him before the deadline.

It remains unclear whether the Nets will accept such an offer or even if they plan to trade Porter Jr. Nevertheless, Siegel stated that if the Warriors can acquire Porter Jr. by offering Kuminga, Moody, Hield, and a first-round pick, he could become their top target.

So far this season, Porter Jr. averages 25.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game; Murphy averages 21.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 3.6 assists; Jones averages 9.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.7 steals per game.

If the Warriors fail to obtain Porter Jr., Murphy, or Jones, they may turn to other available wing and frontcourt players on the market, such as Naji Marshall, Ayo Dosunmu, Daniel Gafford, and Bobby Portis. These players come with relatively lower trade costs and are all currently available for trade.
