On January 12th, in the 25-26 NBA regular season, the Hawks overcame the Warriors 124-111 to claim their third consecutive win. Curry scored 31 points with 3 three-pointers out of 11 attempts, and Butler added 30 points, together tallying 61 points. The Hawks had three players scoring more than 20 points each.

The Warriors were the first to find their rhythm, opening with a 14-4 run led by Curry and Poole. Jalen Johnson then responded with drives and outside shooting, sparking a 14-0 run that shifted momentum to the Hawks. Afterwards, the Warriors regained their three-point shooting touch, hitting consecutive triples, but the Hawks kept up their scoring pace. At the end of the first quarter, the Warriors held a slim 28-27 lead. The second quarter mirrored the first, with the Warriors going on a scoring surge to extend the lead, only for the Hawks to quickly counterattack. When Walker scored on a fast break layup, the score was tied at 51-51. Near halftime, Walker hit multiple three-pointers and McCollum made a buzzer-beater, giving the Hawks a 6-point lead going into the break.

After halftime, the Hawks started with a scoring run that pushed their lead to 12 points. The Warriors then hit consecutive three-pointers to narrow the gap to just one point. The Hawks responded in kind, with Kennard sinking three straight threes to fuel a scoring spree that instantly expanded their lead to 18 points. Late in the quarter, Butler hit a three-pointer to stop the Warriors’ bleeding, but Kennard kept his hot streak alive with another triple. After three quarters, the Hawks led 94-78. In the final quarter, the Hawks opened by hitting four consecutive three-pointers, increasing their lead to 25 points, with Kennard shooting 6-for-7 from beyond the arc. The Warriors then went on a 10-0 run to cut the deficit to 15 points, but the Hawks quickly responded to stabilize the game and maintained control to secure the win. Ultimately, the Hawks defeated the Warriors to claim their third straight victory.
