On January 11th Beijing time, the NBA officially declared that Sacramento Kings guard Dennis Schroder was suspended for three games without pay due to confronting and attempting to hit another player.

This incident occurred about 40 minutes after the Kings lost 101-125 to the Los Angeles Lakers at the Crypto.com Arena on December 29th, when Schroder found the involved player in the arena corridor and initiated the confrontation.
Schroder’s suspension will take effect tomorrow, causing him to miss the Kings’ home game against the Houston Rockets at Golden 1 Center. Salary experts estimate he will forfeit $291,807 in earnings due to this suspension.
US media reports indicate it is currently unclear whether Schroder will appeal the decision or if the appeal process has already been completed.
After the NBA announcement, some media speculated about the identity of the player Schroder confronted, with many believing it was Doncic, given their multiple on-court verbal exchanges and Doncic’s teasing that Schroder should have accepted the big contract offered by the Lakers. Schroder even challenged Doncic to a fight during a game, to which Doncic mocked him for talking tough but not acting.
Later, journalist Haynes confirmed that the player Schroder confronted in the arena corridor after the December 29th game was indeed Lakers star Doncic.
