Unbelievable! The Lakers are courting Dillon! A 3-for-1 trade proposal has been revealed.

Yahoo Sports reports:The Lakers are discussing with the Suns about sending Rui Hachimura, Cam Johnson, and a first-round pick as a package deal to acquire Dillon.

Dillon and LeBron James are famously competitive rivals in the NBA, with intense interactions every time they face off, making the idea of them playing together quite surprising.

However, Dillon, a versatile wing with both offensive and defensive skills and a tough, gritty style, is exactly what the Lakers need right now. This season, he’s performing at his career best, averaging 30.8 minutes per game, contributing 21.4 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.3 steals, while shooting 34.2% from beyond the arc with 2.4 three-pointers made per game. He’s helped the Suns achieve a 20-14 record, currently sitting seventh in the Western Conference, just 1.5 games behind the sixth-place Timberwolves.

Born on January 22, 1996, Dillon stands 2.01 meters tall with a 1.98-meter wingspan. Drafted 15th in the second round in 2017, he earns $21.18 million this season. Despite not having outstanding physical gifts for a second-round pick, his long NBA career is inspiring, even though his reputation has suffered due to frequent conflicts with star players.

Back to the Lakers, they currently hold a 21-11 record, ranking fifth in the West, two games ahead of the Suns. They had previously been second in the standings, but their competitiveness has declined mainly due to injuries (like Reaves’ grade 2 calf strain) weakening their offensive talent, while their defense remains consistently poor.

So far,the Lakers concede 117.4 points per game, which is higher than their 117.2 points scored. Their defensive efficiency is 117.7, ranking 24th in the league, and they average only 41 rebounds per game, placing them 26th. Offensively, however, their efficiency is 117.3, good enough for seventh place. This imbalance between offense and defense makes it difficult to consider them a championship contender, so the top priority going forward is undoubtedly improving their defense.

Not only Dillon from the Suns, but forwards like Wiggins from the Heat and Jones from the Pelicans have also made the Lakers eager, as acquiring any one of them would significantly boost the team’s competitiveness.

Regardless of whether they win the championship this season, the Lakers may undergo major changes this summer, with LeBron’s contract expiring and Reaves having a player option he might decline to enter free agency early...
