On December 29th Beijing time, the NBA officially released the referee report for the last two minutes of the Nuggets vs. Magic game. The report indicated only one missed call in the final two minutes, but it was a critical one. Blake committed a foul before Murray's game-winning shot, meaning the Nuggets should have had a chance at free throws to clinch the victory.

The only missed call occurred with 5 seconds left in the game. According to the referee report, Blake of the Magic reached forward defensively and made illegal contact with Murray’s wrist, causing Murray to lose the ball while driving. This defensive foul was overlooked, and since both teams had reached the foul limit, Murray should have been awarded two free throws.

Considering the Magic were leading by just one point and Murray’s free throw percentage was an impressive 88.7%, the Nuggets had a strong chance to win the game with those two free throws. However, the missed call cost them that opportunity. After regaining possession, Murray rushed a mid-range shot which missed, resulting in a narrow one-point loss for the Nuggets.
In this match, the Magic narrowly defeated the Nuggets 127-126. Blake, who escaped the foul call, scored a career-high 38 points including 7 three-pointers. Jokic recorded a triple-double with 34 points, 21 rebounds, and 12 assists, while Murray contributed 24 points and 5 rebounds, and Hardaway added 20 points.
