On December 27th Beijing time, the NBA officially released the last two minutes referee report for yesterday's year-end showdown between the Nuggets and Timberwolves. During the final two minutes of the fourth quarter and the last two minutes of overtime, there was only one missed call, which went against the Timberwolves when Jokic's foul on Edwards was overlooked.

The sole missed call occurred with 30 seconds remaining in overtime. Edwards was double-teamed by the Nuggets and forced into a difficult pass, which was eventually stolen by Denver. The referee report noted that Jokic made contact with Edwards’ arm during the double team, which should have been called a defensive foul but was missed. Since both teams had already reached the foul limit, Edwards should have been awarded two free throws. Instead, Jokic gained possession, drew a foul on McDaniels, and went to the free-throw line himself. This play clearly disadvantaged the Timberwolves and benefited the Nuggets.

At that moment, the Timberwolves were trailing by 3 points and should have had a chance to narrow the gap further.
This game was arguably the most thrilling year-end battle, with the winner decided in overtime. About three minutes into OT, the Timberwolves held a 9-point lead, but led by Jokic, the Nuggets completed an incredible comeback to narrowly win 142-138.
In this high-profile matchup, Jokic scored 56 points with 16 rebounds and 15 assists, becoming the first player in NBA history to record 55+15+15 in a game, while Edwards scored 44 points but was ejected in the final moments after disputing a referee call.
