The American media has updated the star rankings for this season: Jokic ranks first, Curry sixth, Durant eleventh, and James twenty-fourth.

On December 27th Beijing time, The Ringer, a reputable American media source, refreshed its NBA player rankings for the season up to now. This list is updated continuously throughout the year, reflecting players’ evolving performances. The current top 25 stars are —

Positions 1 to 5: 1. Jokic, 2. Alexander, 3. Doncic, 4. Antetokounmpo, 5. Wembanyama;

Positions 6 to 10: 6. Curry, 7. Edwards, 8. Mitchell, 9. Brunson, 10. Cunningham;

In this ranking, Jokic edges out Alexander to hold the top spot, consistent with many current MVP lists where Jokic has become the leading MVP candidate. His outstanding performance has surpassed Alexander, who was more prominent early in the season. Doncic is third, followed by Antetokounmpo and Wembanyama at fourth and fifth, with all top five players being international stars.

Curry is the highest-ranked American player, placed sixth, followed by fellow American Edwards. The players ranked from sixth to eleventh are all Americans, with Durant at eleventh. James is ranked twenty-fourth; considering he is nearly 41 years old, maintaining a spot in the top 25 is quite impressive.

However, another popular star, Harden, does not appear in the top 25 rankings but is close, positioned at twenty-sixth on The Ringer’s list.
