On December 25th Beijing time, as reported by well-known journalist Shams, Lakers star Luka Dončić is set to compete in tomorrow’s Christmas Day clash, alongside the launch of his fifth-generation signature shoe, the Luka 5. Lakers reporter Dave spoke with Dončić and Reaves, who have forged a strong bond outside the game, featuring some playful yet healthy competition.

During the interview with Dave, Dončić and Reaves discussed their growing brotherly bond and detailed their lively “showdowns,” with Dončić even admitting he prefers to avoid challenging his teammate’s golf skills.
“I actually stay away from him,” Dončić said, “because I don’t play golf at all.”
Reaves acknowledged that Dončić holds a clear advantage in foosball. Although Reaves isn’t really into football, he made a friendly bet with Dončić, predicting that the Minnesota Vikings would defeat Dončić’s “beloved” Dallas Cowboys in Week 15.

“I’ve realized that we — although I’m reluctant to admit it — share a lot of similarities when it comes to competition,” Reaves said, “not just basketball but everything else too. Cards, bowling, darts… he hasn’t beaten me in any of those.”
Even when Dončić invited Reaves over for a friendly dinner, the two sparked a new round of competition.
“He said, ‘Come over to my place, let’s play some bowling,’” Reaves recalled.
When Reaves arrived, he found that Dončić had also invited two friends — Lakers assistant coach Greg Saint-Jean and the team’s lead video coordinator Michael Wexler. They split into teams of three and played multiple rounds.
“But in the end, it all came down to a one-on-one faceoff,” Reaves said.

However, the two guards have completely different memories of what happened after that night.
“I won,” Dončić said.
“We probably played three games of bowling,” Reaves said, “and yes, I won all three.”
Upon hearing Reaves’ claim, Dončić laughed and responded, “I knew he’d say he won.”
On Christmas Day, during the Lakers’ game against the Rockets, Dončić and Reaves will showcase their strong teamwork on the court.
