Siegel noted that the Clippers can initially match salaries using Collins' $26.6 million expiring contract, or they can combine multiple player contracts (such as Bogdan's $16.2 million deal) to meet the salary requirements. McCollum has an expiring contract with a salary of $30.66 million this season.

The Clippers have clearly stated that they will not put veterans Leonard or Harden on the trade block this season. Although this stance has not stopped speculation from other team executives—especially regarding Harden trade rumors—the current position of the Los Angeles Clippers remains firm.
