New faces have arrived! Lakers announce two signings and two waivers: Former Rockets player Nate Williams joins the Purple and Gold training camp.

On September 28th Beijing time, the Lakers officially revealed they signed forward Anton Watson and guard Nate Williams, and simultaneously released guard Tevian Jones and forward Eric Dixon. Below is an introduction to the two new signees—

Anton Watson

Physical profile: Height 2.03 meters, weight 102 kilograms.

Recent performance: In the 2024-25 season, he appeared in 9 games for the New York Knicks; last season, he also played for the Maine Celtics in the NBA G League, participating in 37 games (34 starts), averaging 29.9 minutes, 12.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.0 steals per game.

Career background: Selected 54th overall by the Boston Celtics in the 2024 NBA Draft. Nate Williams

Over his three NBA seasons, he has played for the Rockets (2023-2025) and Portland Trail Blazers (2022-2023), totaling 47 games (4 starts), averaging 8.6 minutes, 3.9 points, and 1.1 rebounds per game.

G League performance: Over the past three G League seasons, played for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers (2023-2025) and Salt Lake City Stars (2022-2023), appearing in 82 games (62 starts), averaging 28.5 minutes, 14.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.2 steals per game.
