On September 16th Beijing time, the Spurs officially confirmed they have signed Biyombo. According to Shams, the contract lasts one year, while Scotto noted it is a non-guaranteed deal, allowing the team to release him before a deadline without owing the full salary.

Biyombo joined the Spurs last February. Last season, he played 28 games for the Spurs, averaging 5.1 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. Now, this veteran is about to start his 15th NBA season. After returning, he will serve as a backup center, expected to be behind Wembanyama and Kornet in the rotation, providing support for the team's interior lineup.

In the 2011 NBA Draft, Biyombo was selected 7th overall in the first round. To date, he has played for seven NBA teams, including the Charlotte Bobcats (now Charlotte Hornets), Toronto Raptors, Orlando Magic, Phoenix Suns, Memphis Grizzlies, Oklahoma City Thunder, and San Antonio Spurs.
Across 867 NBA games in his career (with 377 starts), he has averaged 19.5 minutes per game, contributing 5.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks, demonstrating consistent interior defense and rebounding skills. In the new season, the 33-year-old Biyombo will continue to offer valuable experience to the Spurs.
