As reported by MLB.com, the Dodgers reached a one-year, $2.8 million contract with right-handed reliever Brusdar Graterol to circumvent salary arbitration for the 2026 campaign; the club has not confirmed the deal yet.
Besides Graterol, the Dodgers still have three players eligible for arbitration who must settle their salaries before the deadline, including left-handed reliever Anthony Banda, outfielder Alex Call, and right-handed reliever Brock Stewart.
If the remaining three players fail to reach agreements with the team before the deadline, both sides will exchange salary figures and proceed to a hearing. Negotiations may continue up until the hearing takes place.
Graterol, 27 years old, will receive the same salary as in 2025. He missed the entire previous season recovering from right shoulder labrum surgery. This hard-throwing reliever was also hampered by shoulder and hamstring injuries in 2024, appearing in only seven regular-season games and three postseason contests.
Last season, the Dodgers deeply felt Graterol’s absence in crucial moments. With Blake Treinen and Kirby Yates struggling and Michael Kopech and Evan Phillips sidelined by injuries, the bullpen lacked a reliable right-handed finisher. Over five seasons with the Dodgers, Graterol has appeared in 178 games, posting a 2.69 ERA and suppressing right-handed hitters’ OPS to 0.524.
Entering the final controlled season before free agency, Graterol is expected to participate in spring training fully healthy.
Anthony Banda, 32, is in his second arbitration-eligible year. In his second season with the Dodgers last year, he posted a 3.18 ERA and led the team’s pitchers with 71 appearances; his 2025 salary was $1 million.
Alex Call, 31, is arbitration-eligible for the first time. After being acquired from the Nationals before last year’s trade deadline, he played 38 games for the Dodgers, hitting .247 with a .717 OPS.
Brock Stewart, 34, is also in his second arbitration year. This right-handed reliever joined the Dodgers at the last trade deadline but suffered a right shoulder injury after only four appearances, leading to season-ending debridement surgery in 2025. The Dodgers hope he will be ready to return early in the 2026 season. Last year, between the Twins and Dodgers, Stewart posted a 2.63 ERA over 43 games.
